What We Must Have

Now is the time to take a good look at what we must have in order to secure an Earth free of violence, crime,
war, disease, insanity and hunger – a planet whose air, water and soil are clean and supportive of life; with a
population free to pursue and achieve happiness and prosperity.

What you are about to read may seem a lot to accomplish, and the list is certainly not complete.  So how do we
get this done?

Do you remember how to eat an elephant?  One bite at a time.  The actual bites are programmed, in order, for
those who are working directly on them.  For the rest of us, this article will tell us what to watch for, what to think
about.

There is something for everyone to do.  There will be those adventurous types who physically go in advance to
even the most uncooperative lands; others will help out in their local area; some will be a part of the international
management organization; some will give us moral support, and the list goes on.  All of these is important, even vital,
to our success.

What follows is a listing and explanation of the lion’s share  of what we are working to accomplish.  Believe me,
when we have this in every corner of the world, there will be world peace, and human rights will be habitual for all.
When you see something you are interested in taking part in, please let us know.  There is room for everyone, and
contact information is at the end of this article.

Before we get started, we need a name.  We have been going over this, and asking for proposals for some
time.  This is what we have come up with that covers what we will accomplish: International Association for World
Peace and Human Rights.  If we don’t get too many objections – or a better name – by 7 June 2008, we will
incorporate it.

                        What We Really Must Have

The main public relations vehicle for pushing all this through is our Never Ending Tour for World Peace and
Human Rights.  The article, “How it Works,” explains this part well.  If you have it but haven’t read it, read it when you
finish this article.  If you need a copy, we will send you one, or you can go to www.truenica.com, click on the
“Articles” tab, and find it there.

The major topics below are tabbed in bold type, so you may either read this article from top to bottom (our
preference), or scan until you find an area you are particularly interested in.  They are not necessarily in order of
greatest importance.  All of these things need to be worked on at the same time, but naturally someone suffering
from disease is not very productive.  If you are starving, you don’t care much about reading, or learning anything
until you get fed!

So look this whole article over.  Different parts of the world are at different levels, and some problems are
greater than others in other areas.  What is important is that we know what we need, so we can work out how to get
it.

WORLDWIDE LITERACY  One of most important areas we need to look at is literacy.  A literate person can
study, and thereby learn, anything.  A literate population is also less likely to automatically believe what they are told
by authorities, whether these authorities are governments, corporations, or the local blowhard .  We need people to
be able to learn new concepts, and literacy is the first step toward this.  We are literally creating a new civilization.  In
some areas, and I don’t just mean so-called third world countries, we will be asking people to do things and to
understand concepts that never occurred to them before.  So literacy is important .

MORALS  If we are to have peace on Earth, people must agree on what is acceptable behavior.  This means we
must have a shared moral code, one which transgresses  no one’s religion, and is at the same time non-religious in
nature.  The Way to Happiness Foundation promotes just such a moral code.  You may read about it in the book,
The Way to Happiness, which is available in most libraries, or you may call them at 800-255-7906, or go to their
website at www.thewaytohappiness.org.

                                        Earth is Filthy!

CLEAN ENGINES  Whether you agree with global warming or not, and whether you believe or don’t believe that
mankind is the culprit , it must be obvious to all that our air is dirty.  Sometimes, in many cities, it becomes
unbreathable.  The filth collects on your clothes, on your skin.  It makes you sneeze and it makes you cough.  It
makes your eyes itch.  It promotes cancer, heart attacks, even birth defects.

Why smoke cigarettes?  Just roll down your windows and breathe the rush hour air on the Hollywood Freeway,
or downtown Manhattan.  They do the job just as well.

How did it get that way?  Who is to blame?  We are to blame.  By we, I mean “I, you, us, them.”

We created this effect by driving, flying, manufacturing, generating electricity.  We are never going to stop doing
any of these things.

The engines we use to drive our cars and trucks, fly our airplanes, run our factories and generate our electricity
all burn hydrocarbons, and inefficiently at that.  The byproducts fill the air, and we itch, we cough, our lungs hurt, we
get cancer, we have heart attacks, and we die!  So do our friends and our families.

Do workable technologies exist to replace these doomsday machines?  Absolutely.

Why aren’t they in wide use?  Why don’t we hear more about it?  In a word, greed.  It’s worse than that, really.  It’
s short sighted greed.

     By whom?

Mostly that would be multinational oil companies and their enslaved meal tickets, automobile manufacturers.
There are others, of course, such as energy generators that insist on using the nasty products of coal companies
that blow the tops off entire mountains and dump their poisonous byproducts into freshwater streams.  All of this
aided and abetted  by a compliant  government.

These are corporations, of course, but all corporations, and all governments, are run by humans, who make all
the decisions and then hide behind their organizations and blame their victims.

Let us be very clear here.  Am I saying there are low life, scumbag, cynical, death mongering  bastards in our
midst who are willing to destroy the lives of their children and grandchildren, even all life on the planet, for the sake
of a quick buck?

     You bet.

But the news is not all bad.  The conscienceless thieves I mentioned above are only able to get by with their
crimes because of a well established public relations (PR) network.  Of course they are corrupt, as are their
enablers in government, but it is PR,  the “promotion of a favorable image: the practice or profession of establishing,
maintaining, or improving a favorable relationship between an institution or person and the public ,” that makes it
possible for them to continue to get by with their crimes.  They are very professional in this area.

I said there was good news, and there is.  We have equally capable professionals working with us.  Our people
also have the advantage of not having to promote a lie.  And yes, I am bragging.

The wonderful thing about working in PR these days is that it is a faster and less expensive process than it was
even five years ago, due in large part to a global addiction to the internet.  We simply need to expose the truth
broadly and continuously, exposing people to the concept that there are other ways of doing things than they are in
the habit of, and that it is perfectly respectable to do so.

I could go on and on, but this article is about what we must have in order to save this planet and its life forms,
including our own.

This is how we arrive at that new civilization, or anything else we want for that matter.  First we describe, picture,
what we want.  We do that until we are totally satisfied with the picture.  From there we plan exactly what we have to
do to get there, step by tiny step.

Finally we look at this precise plan, and from that look we deduce  the kinds of people we need.  These are
really job descriptions, and they turn out to be what people are good at, or inclined toward – what they call
themselves.  For instance, I am basically an executive and a writer.

As an executive, I point people in the direction they need to go to achieve what we want, assign them actual
tasks, and see that they get them done in a reasonable amount  of time so that their steps in the program coincide
with everyone else’s.  As a writer, I paint the picture of the goal for them, or encourage them to accomplish their
tasks in the most efficient manner possible.

So what is it we are asking for in this section?  Clean engines.  Engines that use fuel that is cheap and plentiful
and difficult for anyone monopolize.  Engines that don’t pollute!

With these clean engines, we will drive our cars and trucks, pull our trains and fly our planes.  We will also use
them to run our factories and generate our electricity.

This may be the largest thing we need to achieve in order to have clean air for everyone before it’s too late.

SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE  This is a big job, but like the others on our list, doable.

People don’t produce much, or think well, if they don’t have enough to eat or if their food lacks necessary
nutrition.  So we have to feed the hungry, but more important, we have to make it possible for them to feed
themselves, no matter where they live on this planet.

Agriculture is neck and neck with the auto industry in fouling our planet.  There is a good deal of air pollution
associated with agriculture, but it I believe it falls well behind the transportation and energy generation industries in
that area.

Agricultural practice, at least in the United States, is fouling our lakes, streams, and the vital aquifers  that supply
much of our drinking and irrigation water.  Moreover, that same over-irrigation is coming dangerously close to
depleting many of those same aquifers.

In addition, the genetic modification of our crops has diminished the nutritional value of many of our most basic
foods.  This is on top of the harmful chemicals that are polluting human bodies just as they are our fresh water.

So, if we are to survive as a species, we must rid ourselves of the following:
             a)  the production and use of dangerous, polluting chemicals for the control of agricultural pests, both
animal and plant;
             b)  the production and use of harmful chemical fertilizers;
             c)  the production and use of dangerous Genetically Modified Organisms         (GMO’s).

Any GMO’s developed in the future must be proven 100% safe, by independent testers, before any production
and distribution is allowed, anywhere in the world.

Finally, we must see to the safe destruction of all of a, b and c above, in addition to cleaning and replenishing
our land, our fresh water lakes, streams and aquifers, and our oceans.

Technology for handling all of this actually exists today, and there is no greater expert in the area than Winston
W. J. Kao.  For more information on this, go to his website, www.gobeyondorganic.com.  There you will find more
information as well as a link for direct communication.

CLEAN MANUFACTURING   Already mentioned is switching over to the use of non-polluting engines.  In
addition to this, we need to stop using dangerous materials in our factories wherever possible.  Where not possible,
these materials need to be either safely destroyed or recycled at the end of their use in the manufacturing process.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS  We must rid ourselves of plagues such as AIDS, malaria, and other similar horrors,
but there are other, equally vital things that must be handled in this area.

There must be no more medical practices that do more harm than good.  This means an end to over
prescription and unnecessary prescription of drugs and surgery.  It also means no more legalized fraud.  I am
speaking here of things like electroshock “therapy”, diagnoses of non-existent illnesses (mostly psychiatric) in order
sell dangerous, addictive drugs and treatments ineffective even if the so-called illness actually existed.

We must also rid ourselves of laws declaring that only drugs and surgery are cures.

Referring to all of the previous three topics, we must just stop the production of useless and dangerous drugs
and chemicals worldwide.  Manufacturers who claim their new production non-harmful must prove it so to the most
rigid of standards.

FREEDOM OF RELIGION  This means absolute freedom for anyone to practice any religion in any manner they
wish (so long as no humans are harmed in the process).  It also means total freedom to practice no religion at all.
Disagreements between sects of any religion must be handled between its disagreeing practitioners – non-violently,
and without slander.

It also means  no violent or slanderous attacks by any religion or sect against any other or against the non-
religious.  Naturally, it also means no violent or slanderous attacks by the non-religious against any religious person
or persons.

Finally, it means an end to any governmental authority over any religion, or religious authority over any
government.  In part, this means that if a group calls themselves a religion, they are.

NO MORE WAR!  This is simple.  No more war.  It includes ethnic and religious violence as well as any
governmental violence of a state against its citizens or any group thereof.

In particular, this means no more wars of aggression regardless of justification.  It includes invasion by artillery,
rocket, bombs or troops.  It also means an end to all blockade and occupation.

By occupation is meant the presence of foreign troops, whether governmental or mercenary, in any country, for
any reason other than embassy security – and the size, type and equipment of the security detail must be severely
limited.

Occupation is further defined to include any foreign owned, manned, and/or operated military bases of any type
or size, including raw land, buildings, equipment and personnel.

CLEAN UP YOUR MESS  I mean you clean up your mess.  If the mess is military, it must be cleaned up by the
unarmed military of the country or mercenary organization that made it.  If it’s industrial or agricultural, it must be
cleaned up by both the manufacturer and the user of the filth.  So there is no misunderstanding, oil companies and
mining companies are considered manufacturers.

Unfortunately, a lot of the garbage on our planet was created by governments.  Well, that is one of the few
legitimate reasons for the taxes we pay.  The mess still must be cleaned up.

So, we need to locate and verifiably destroy all weapons of mass destruction in any country, plus all land and
sea mines, and unexploded bombs or parts of bombs.  We also need to rid our planet of the garbage of war,
including but not limited to projectiles of spent uranium, the cartridges they came from, and any of the remaining live
ammunition.

On top of this, we need to clean up all industrial and agricultural pollution, as well as nuclear waste.
HUMAN RIGHTS  All human rights, for all humans, must be habitual – expected by all as the natural order of things.
These rights include, at a minimum, those rights outlined in the United States’
Declaration of Independence, and the
Bill of Rights of its constitution.

This also includes fair trade practices.  That is, no predatory trade practices by any country, company, or
individual against any other.
